Allison Koppel is a seasoned association executive and strategic leader with over two decades of experience building member-focused programs, driving organizational transformation, and advocating on behalf of mission-driven institutions. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the American Fraternal Alliance, where she oversees strategy, operations, advocacy, and member engagement for the national association representing fraternal benefit societies across the U.S.
Since taking on the CEO role in 2020, Allison has led the Alliance through a period of modernization and growth. Her work includes launching virtual education programs, transforming governance structures, streamlining operations through association management models, and deepening the organization’s influence in both state and federal policy. Under her leadership, the Alliance has strengthened its voice as a champion of community-based, not-for-profit insurers that provide life insurance, annuities, and other financial products while reinvesting in the communities they serve.
Before becoming CEO, Allison served the Alliance in multiple leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, where she managed non-dues revenue initiatives, membership programs, compliance, and insurance offerings tailored to member needs. Her background also includes alumni relations, marketing, and board development in the healthcare and trade association sectors.
Known for her collaborative approach and deep operational insight, Allison is widely respected for aligning mission with results. She is a passionate advocate for the role of fraternal benefit societies in preserving financial wellness, community support, and social impact through insurance.
